Pastor William V. Lucas, JD, M. Div.
A native of Rich Square, North Carolina, Pastor Lucas is Co-Founder and Senior Pastor of First Chronicles Community Church. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of First Chronicles Child Development Center and Owner of Lucas Real Estate Investment Company. Pastor Lucas serves as President of Hayti Community Ministries & Friends, Inc. and a member of the Durham CAN Ministerial Council, Board of Directors for the D.L. Forbes Youth Foundation, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance. He has a Bachelor of Science in Math education from North Carolina A&T State University, Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of law and a Master of Divinity from Shaw University. he is married to Pebbles Lucas and they have two children, Barry and Angel.

The Reverend Pebbles Lindsay-Lucas is one of the founders of the First Chronicles Community Church in Durham, North Carolina. First Chronicles Community Church was founded by William an Pebbles Lucas in their home in 1999. Since serving with her husband in 1999, God blessed them to purchase a new church in 2003 at 1306 Lincoln Street in Durham, North Carolina 27701. The Reverend Pebbles Lucas has responded to the call of God, and has been in the ministry for 30 years. She was called into the ministry in 1986 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Charles Lee Chavis. She served as an associate minister at the Mount Gilead Baptist Church for 11 years under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Leroy Elijah Davis. She was the first woman to ever be ordained at the Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina in 1994.
Reverend Pebbles Lucas received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from North Carolina Central University where she earned Magna Cum Laude in Social Work. Also, she earned a Master of Divinity from Duke University Divinity School in 1998, and recently received a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education Leadership from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington which includes Advocacy Policy. Rev. Lucas earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Durham Technical Community College receiving honors, and is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Reverend Pebbles Lucas currently serves as the Executive Minister at First Chronicles Community Church under the leadership of Pastor William Lucas, and serves as the Youth Pastor at Union Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Ray Hammond. She is a board member of the HOA Board for Swann’s Mill Community, the Vice-Chairman for the Education Committee for the Committee Affairs of Black People, Hoard Member of Another Way Ministries, the PTA President for Hillside New Tech, and works as the Pre-School Director for the First Chronicles Daycare Center (5 star) in Durham, North Carolina.
She is blessed to share her life and ministry with her husband Pastor William Lucas, and their two children Barry and Angel. The Lucas family is blessed to have one grand -daughter, Madison.
